Taco Bell’s (Possible) PR Crisis

It is said time and time again that a picture says 1,000 words. This is especially true over a recent photo that has gone viral after it was posted on Taco Bell’s Facebook page.

The photo below supposedly features a worker at a Taco Bell in California licking taco shells within it’s kitchen. While these taco shells could of been destined to be thrown away, photos like these can damage a company’s reputation.

I will closely follow this upcoming story to see what HQ at Taco Bell will be doing about it.

Notable Past Fast Food PR Crisis:

McDonalds Employee Spits in Sweet Tea (2013)- A McDonald’s Employee was arrested with malicious tampering with food after two customers complained that their sweet tea was not sweet enough.

Domino’s Employees Release Contamination Video (2009)- Two Domino’s employees were arrested after releasing a video that they taped while on the job. The video consists of the employees spitting on food, putting cheese in their noses, and other obscene acts.

Wendy’s Employee Serves Severed Finger in Chili (2005)- News swirled around Wendy’s after a lady claimed that she found a finger in her chili. Although it was proven that she cooked her own chili and placed it in a Wendy’s container after settling a $100 bet that her husband lost, $21 million in revenue were lost by the fast food chain.
